I'm not saying it doesn't have flaws (barrel), but let's remember that Casino has its own issues as well.ġ: The boss is the worst. I died in Labyrinth and Aquatic plenty of times, but never in Carnival. It reminds me of S2 Flying Fortress's boss, but increasing in difficulty if you take too long.Ħ: The water portion may be the best water portion in classic Sonic, as the bumpers and the balloons speed things along. Since Carnival is getting lambasted, I want to step up and point out some great things.ġ: The balloons are, to me super-fun to play with, and very rewarding to your skill (connects to lots of places).Ģ: The platforms that rise as you jump on them but fall when stood on are cool.ģ: The wheels that you can run on and gain momentum on to launch yourself is great (reminds me of Ristar).Ĥ: The boost corridors lead to one of the fastest moments in the game.ĥ: Act 1 boss is perfectly difficult.
